Patty
Patty is a senior in high school and has been dancing
for 15 years at Dorothy Del Guercio School of Dance. She has studied
Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Modern, and has participated in a competition
Hip-Hop team. It is her second year as part of the In Motion
Dance Company and she is looking forward to performing and
expressing herself through dance. Patty is also a member of her
town's Volunteer Fire Department, loves all kinds of music, and
has been playing the piano since she could reach the keys. Patty
plans to continue her dance career into college and beyond. She
thanks all who have supported, taught, and contributed to her achievements
and gives thanks to God for her opportunities.

Susan
An adult member of the company, Susan has been studying
Ballet, Modern dance, and Hip-Hop at the Dorothy Del Guercio School
of Dance since 2004. She has a strong background in yoga and is
also an avid swimmer, biker, and runner but loves the beauty and
discipline of the dance arts. The 2008-2009 season is Susan's first
year with In Motion and being part of the company has offered
her a great opportunity to gain experience in Modern dance choreography
and performance. In her professional life, Susan is the Director
of Corporate Communications for Philips Lighting Company and has
assisted In Motion (and hopes to continue) with their public
relations pursuits.

Katalina
Katalina has been thrilled by dance since she was
three. She is currently in 8th grade and this is her second year
as an apprentice member of In Motion Dance Company. After
11 years of comprehensive training in Ballet, Pointe, Modern and
Tap in Germany, Switzerland and the USA, she has not lost any of
her excitement. Katalina received her Ballet training with the School
of Garden State Ballet and The Dance Conservatory. She studies Modern,
Ballet and Tap with the Dorothy Del Guercio School of Dance. At
the age of 10, Katalina was accepted into the summer intensive program
of the New Jersey School of Ballet. Last year she auditioned for
the Burklyn Ballet Theater and was invited into their summer intensive
in Vermont. Katalina has been a member of the Repertory Dancers
Ballet Company of the Dance Conservatory for two years now. She
is ecstatic that she was invited to join such a wonderful and inspiring
company as In Motion. During the rare time that she is
not "in motion", Katalina enjoys listening to music, laughing and
hanging out with friends. She is inspired by all of the amazing
dancers in this company, and thanks Kathie for this overwhelming
experience. This will widen her understanding and perspective of
dance, giving her the opportunity to fully express her passion.

Allison
Allison is a freshman, and this is her 11th year dancing at Dorothy
Del Guercio School of Dance. She has taken Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and
continues to take Hip-Hop and Modern. This is her first year with
In Motion. She is looking forward to dancing with In
Motion for the next four years. She would like to thank Dorothy,
Kathie, and all of the choreographers for their help and guidance.
She would also like to thank her family for supporting her.

Cassie
Cassie is 17 years old and has been dancing for all of her life. This
is her second year with In Motion Dance Company and she is
thoroughly enjoying the company. Besides dancing, she likes to sing
and act in various performances. She would like to acknowledge Kathie
and all others who work so hard to keep this company strong.

Megan
Megan began her dance training at the Dorothy Del Guercio School of
Dance at a young age beginning with Ballet and Tap. In later years,
she moved to Jazz, Lyrical and finally Modern Dance. She is a founding
member of the In Motion Dance Company and has performed at
many venues throughout the tri-state area. Megan earned her BA in
English from Centenary College and is currently working as a Web Content
Manager for Elsevier, a health and science publication company.

Theresa
Theresa has been dancing for 15 years at Denville Dance
Center, Susan's School of Dance, and most recently, Worth Tyrrell
Studios in Morristown. She has also attended Camp Ballibay for the
Fine and Performing Arts for the past four summers. She has studied
many genres of dance, including Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Modern, Ballet
and Pointe. This is her third year with In Motion and she
hopes to continue dancing with the company for the rest of high school.
Theresa enjoys listening to music, choreographing, singing, and hanging
out with friends. After high school, Theresa aspires to study dance
and education in college and to become a dancer, choreographer, and
dance teacher at a performing arts high school. She also dreams of
one day starting her own professional Modern dance company. She would
like to thank Kathie for giving her the opportunity to work with such
talented dancers and choreographers, her Ballet teacher, Jennifer
Innis and Jazz teacher, Jessica Lee Goldyn for inspiring her, and
her parents for helping her achieve her goals, both in dance and in
life.

Zoe
Zoe has been dancing at the Dorothy Del Guercio School
of Dance for 13 years. In seventh and eighth grade she was part of
the Junior Starz Company. Over the summer she participated in the
Summerdance Intensive Program. She enjoys taking Hip-Hop and Modern
classes, and this is her third year with the In Motion Dance Company.
Some other things she likes to do outside of dancing include playing
soccer, track, reading, and getting involved in clubs like Art Club
and Service Club at her school. Zoe is excited to be furthering her
dance education and looks forward to many more years with the company.

Elizabeth
Elizabeth is dancing with In Motion Dance Company for the
second year. She has been dancing at Dorothy Del Guercio School of
Dance for 13 years and was in Junior Starz for 3 years. She currently
takes Hip-Hop, Modern, Ballet, and Tap at Dorothy Del Guercio School
of Dance. Last summer she participated in the Summerdance Intensive
Program. Some of her other interests include reading, traveling, and
photography. She is very excited to be a member of In Motion
and hopes to continue to be part of the company throughout high school.

Emma
Emma has been dancing for 7 years. This will be her fourth year dancing
at the Dorothy Del Guercio School of Dance where she enjoys studying
Hip-Hop, as well as Modern. While she is not dancing, she leads an
active life of schoolwork, friends, family, and working. She has a
passion for painting and photography, as well as writing which she
hopes to fulfill and someday incorporate into her dance studies. She
appreciates this wonderful opportunity of being a part of In Motion
Dance Company for her second year, and would like to thank her
supportive parents and family, as well as Kathie Kececi, Dorothy Del
Guercio, and her other dance instructors who have allowed her to grow
as both a dancer and a person, and supported her in fulfilling anything
she puts her mind to.

Gina
Gina is in her 12th year at the Dorothy Del Guercio School of Dance.
She is currently concentrating on Pointe and Modern, previously
studying Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Hip-Hop. This is Gina's 2nd year
as a member of the In Motion Dance Company and she is passionate
about the talented choreographers and performance opportunities
provided by this group. Gina regularly attends the In Motion
Summerdance Intensive (2007, 2008) and participates in various dance
and Ballet intensives at The Art of Dance in Chester. In 2008 she
took a jazz workshop at the Worth-Tyrrell Studios in Morristown
taught by Broadway performer Jessica Lee Goldyn of A Chorus Line.
Gina was also a member of the DDG performing company Junior Starz
for three years. Outside of the dance world, Gina's interests include
traveling, tennis, reading, and writing. Gina would like to thank
Dorothy and Kathie for giving her the opportunity to further her
dance education and for inspiring her to pursue dance as a lifelong
passion. She would also like to express her sincere thanks to her
family for their unconditional support.

Cailla
Cailla has been dancing for 16 years and been a student at Dorothy
Del Guercio School of Dance the last 11. In 2002, she danced with
Junior Starz Dance Company, and, as of 2003, has been part of In
Motion Dance Company. She has recently performed at the Merce
Cunningham Studio, Carnegie Hall and Ceres Art Gallery in NYC, Moravian
College in PA, The Bickford Theater, Grounds for Sculpture, Rutgers
University, Seton Hall University, The Morris Museum and Holly Manor
Nursing Home in NJ. She studies Modern, Ballet, Jazz, and Musical
Theater. Since 2002, Cailla has attended Summerdance Intensive,
founded by Kathie Kececi, whom she greatly admires. She is director
of Junior Broadway Dance Company, teaches Musical Theater and substitutes
at the Del Guercio Studio. A student of Rutgers University, she
majors in Dance and Psychology and will graduate with a teaching
degree in Mathematics & Science. She is very proud of her sister,
Danielle, and thanks her family, friends and boyfriend, Greg, for
all their support.

Danielle
Danielle attends 7th grade at LVMS and has been dancing at Dorothy
Del Guercio School of Dance for 10 years studying Ballet, Modern,
Theatre, Tap, Jazz and Hip-Hop. Danielle performed "Rebirth" at The
Bickford Theatre; a piece choreographed at Summerdance Intensive 2007.
This is Danielle's second year with In Motion. She was involved
in The Morris Museum Workshop and was thrilled to bring dance to the
children who participated in the workshop. Dancing for the residents
of Holly Manor Nursing Home has given her much joy. Danielle has many
interests outside of dance such as: girl scouting, reading, Band-clarinet
and guitar and basketball. Her pet sitting business has brought Latte
and Kiko, her beloved puppies, into her life. Her sister, Cailla,
has been such an inspiration to her throughout her life and she thanks
her very much for the wonderful support and advice. Being asked to
join In Motion Dance Company as an apprentice last year has
been a thrill and she is very grateful and thankful to Kathie Kececi
for this amazing opportunity.

Lauren
Lauren has been dancing for 15 years and this is her fourth year in
the In Motion Dance Company. She takes Tap and Modern classes
at the Dorothy Del Guercio School of Dance and teaches an Advanced
Tap Class. In her spare time, Lauren likes to listen to music, hang
out with friends, and read. Next fall, Lauren will be attending the
College of the Holy Cross. She would like to thank her friends and
family for their loving support, but most of all her dance teachers
and classmates who make every class a blast!

Becca
Becca is a freshman enjoying her first year with the In Motion
Dance Company. She has been dancing since age two, and the past
two years have been with Dorothy Del Guercio School of Dance. Becca
studies Ballet, Pointe, and most recently Modern. Her first experience
with this wonderful company was during the Summerdance Intensive,
which persuaded her to become a member. She is so grateful to Kathie
for allowing her to be in the company. Becca plans to continue with
In Motion the rest of her high school career.

Alex
Alex is a junior performing with In Motion Dance Company
for her third year. She would like to thank Kathy and In Motion
for allowing her to be a part of such a wonderful company, and she
would also like to thank her family for making room in her schedule.

Madeline
This is Madeline's first year with the company and 11th year at the
Dorothy Del Guercio School of Dance. She currently takes Modern and
Rhythm Tap. When not dancing, Madeline can be found at the theater
or behind her camera. She'd like to thank her parents and family for
all of their support, Kathie and Grace, the rest of the company for
making every minute on stage and off amazing, her friends, and all
the guys at STNJ.

Maria
This is Maria's 11th year at Dorothy Del Guercio School of Dance studying
many forms of dance including Tap, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Pointe, and Modern,
and her third year with In Motion. When not dancing, Maria
can generally be found on stage singing and acting. She loves the
theatre and hopes to one day collaborate her skills to make it her
profession. When not on stage, Maria enjoys traveling, laughing, cooking
and having fun. She would like to thank all of her teachers at the
studio for inspiring her to work hard at something she truly loves,
Kathie for giving her a wonderful dance opportunity in the company,
and her friends and family for their love and support in fulfilling
her dreams. |
