In 2000, Kathie Kececi founded the In Motion Dance Company, comprised of high school and adult dancers. Located at the Dorothy Del Guercio School of Dance in Chester, NJ, In Motion performs cutting edge Modern, Lyrical, Rhythm Tap and Hip-hop choreographed by professional dancers from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. This dance company offers a rare blend of technique, passion, and dedication, bringing innovative dance to the community.

In addition to performing at creative and inspiring venues, In Motion also works with the children in the community by bringing them educational and participatory dance workshops. The children are taught to explore the art of creating dances, as well as develop an understanding of how dance happens.

About the Director
Kathie Kececi received her Masters Degree in Dance Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is the founder and director of Summerdance, an integrated art program for children, as well as In Motion Dance Company, comprised of high school and adult dancers. She is a teaching artist for NY Ballet and has taught master classes at high schools and universities in NJ, NY, and PA. Her choreography has recently been presented at The Grounds for Sculpture for The Outlet Dance Project. She also teaches Modern and Rhythm Tap at Dorothy Del Guercio School of Dance.
