Founded in 2000 by Kathie Kececi, In Motion has established itself as an inspiring organization that develops the creativity in young dancers. Comprised of high school students, In Motion performs cutting edge Modern, Rhythm Tap and Hip-hop choreographed by professional dancers from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Theaters such as Merce Cunningham Studio, Joyce Soho, Carnegie Hall and Dance New Amersterdam in NYC are only a few of the many locations where the company has performed. Others include the Kennedy Arts Center in Washington, DC, Teachers College in NYC, Grounds for Sculpture and the Community Theatre in Morristown, NJ. And, recently, the company had the opportunity to perform in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC.
